The MDCRN is a central coordinating network to support the development of new therapies in muscular dystrophies. The MDCRN provides the coordinating support for the Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy Clinical Trial Research Network (FSHD CTRN, Jeffrey Statland, MD and Rabi Tawil, MD - PIs); the Myotonic Dystrophy Clinical Research Network (DMCRN, Nicholas Johnson, MD, and Charles Thornton, MD – PIs); and the Genetic Resolution and Assessments Solving Phenotypes in Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (GRASP LGMD, Nicholas Johnson, MD PI, Jeffrey Statland MD Clinical Trial Liaison). The combined network supports site investigators worldwide focused on developing therapies for muscular dystrophies through central coordination, data management, and trial planning. The rapid advance of genetic precision therapy across muscular dystrophies has led to promising treatment strategies. The MDCRN is dedicated to bringing these therapies into the clinic.
